Easter Crafts with Jenna

Jenna loves crafty stuff. Last night I knew that they didn't need me at work, so I told Jenna we would do an Easter craft. My mom gave me a book when Jenna was like 1 year old that has a whole gob of ideas of activities to do with Toddlers. It gave a list of stuff to just have in your house. Last year, I bought about 50 bucks worth of things that we have used for crafts- like pipe cleaner, cotton balls, rubber bands, glue, scissors, construction paper, pompoms, feathers, beads, paints, paint brushes, popsicle sticks, etc. It has proven to be money well spent...Anyway, we ran to Roberts for yellow pom poms, I busted out the craft tupperware, stole some ideas from a magazine that I get in the mail, Family Fun Magazine, and Jenna and I went to crafting during Zac's nap. Jenna is so pleased with herself. The best part about the little pompom chicks is that she could do it totally by herself after I made one for her.
When we were done she said, "that was hard work!" and ate a Peep like she was simply famished!

That looks like fun. My kids love crafts too, but I don't. I never know what to do. I might have to steal this idea and buckle down and have craft time with my kids!

So cute! I am excited- and scared for those days, since I am NOT crafty. I can't believe how much Jenna looks like a little Mandy. She is adorable. So I have been meaning to tell you as I have read your blogs that Nick and I have been doing the same housing battle back and forth as you guys. Wondering what the right thing for us to do is, what we can really afford and what we really want to spend our money on. It seemed like everything we were seeing was a piece of junk for what we felt we could afford. We talked to several builders that told us outrageous price per sq ft numbers (in our minds). We have been living with his parents since August deciding what the best thing to do is. And we were seriously to the point that we thought we would never get a home or we would literally be out with hammers building it ourselves. Anyway, we came across an ad for a builder in St. George whose price was what we thought people should be building for. And we have been SO pleased with everything. It's really been within the budget we could afford and he has been great to work with. We have questioned everything about him because I have been so scared. Anyway if you guys are interested in checking him out or looking at that option. We will be done hopefully with the house by July so then we can have the entire experience to tell, but really so far it has been the best thing for us. Even with the market dropping on homes nothing has compared. He has a website too if you want to look at it its www.sunbursthomesllc.com. Anyway, just a thought for you, if you are interested.Sorry that was long :)
