My Zac-y

Zac and I went to IHOP for a breakfast date. The occasion was a preface to meeting with his counselor. Zac has given us gray hairs (Steve) and pounds (Mandy), but we love him so much.

Trevor's 5th Birthday

Trevor had a fun birthday this year. He had his first friend party ever. We decided to go with Orem's Classic Fun Center- there are inflatables, an arcade, and a skate rink. I am now a fan of having a party somewhere other than my home, especially in the winter.
It has become tradition that the kids get a build-a-bear from Maw on her birthday. Mom wasn't here, but sent out the funds for Trev to pick out his first build-a-bear. He chose a Spiderman bear with a StarWars noise maker (like Zac got in August). He was so happy.
At preschool, Mrs Cheryl makes it special by recognizing the birthday child. I came and was there for his birthday spotlight.
Happy Birthday Trev!

Kiss and Tell at the Hale

I love the Hale theater in Orem. A couple of girls from work and I went to see Kiss and Tell. It was a great show. As I always say,  "the Hale never disappoints."

Jazz vs Heat

These season tickets have honestly been a good thing. The winter months can be hard, but the Jazz games have given us something to look forward to. (I have only gone a couple of times, but Steve really enjoys going with a friend or his brothers.) The games are entertaining, not just the basketball and watching warm-ups, but the anthem, time outs, half time, and the give-aways make it fun!  The weekend before Valentine's, Steve and I went to dinner and to see the Heat play the Jazz. Somehow, the Jazz even won. I love my date.

Valentine's Party

I had to work the night of Valentine's, so the night before, I tried to make it fun for the kids. It was just slightly better than a normal night, but worth documenting. The big kids made their Valentine boxes and addressed Valentines for their classmates. We had a Papa Murphy's Heart Pizza, cookies, and watched the Middle. We set the kids up with their TV trays and they love that!

Jolley's Ranch

For MLK Jr day, we wanted to do something fun since the kids were off school. We looked into some activities and decided to try Jolley's Ranch for sledding in Springville. We initially had a hard time finding it, but once we got there it was worth it. It was inexpensive and a lot of fun. We brought sleds. They also had sleds and tubes. The sledding hill was good size for the kids. Not too scary and not too wimpy. The walk back up the hill was not so bad either.
Also, Steve was impressed with the yurt (he is all about the yurts this winter- he keeps talking about staying overnight in a yurt somewhere...maybe one day)
