Zac, 2nd grade patriotic program

I enjoyed Zac's 2nd grade patriotic program. It was fun to see him singing the songs. (PS. He is sitting by his little crush and friend, Maralee.)
Zac is listening to an Airforce solider. That kind of thing keeps his interest.

"Indiana, Indiana Jones"

Trevor loves Indiana Jones. He gets all of his ideas about Indiana Jones from watching Zac play the Lego Indiana Jones game on the Wii. He even loves the theme song. (He has tried to watch some of the real movies,  but he just paces and is too scared.)
For the end of the year preschool-program, there was a talent show. He wanted to be Indiana. He hummed the theme song and dressed as Indiana Jones.
He is a cute Indiana if you ask me.

3rd Grade "Character Matters II"

Under the direction of Mrs South, Jenna's class put on a cute 30 min play that was entitled, "Character Matters II".
Jenna was thrilled to be the witch. She did a nice job with her lines.
Bravo.
I didn't get a picture, but Grandma and Grand-dad came all the way up from Blanding just for the short play. That was so nice. Grandma also bought her flowers (Jenna even planted them the day after the play).
On a cute side note, Jenna stayed up late and braided her own wet hair into several braids. When I woke her up the morning of the play, I was surprised that her head was full of braids. She wanted to have big, wild, witch hair. Anyway, she was pleased with her handy-work.
Jenna played the witch on Hansel and Gretel that wanted to eat them. In the play, she learns of her bad neighborly behavior and decides that, as a neighbor, she should be there in thick or thin.

Kristi, who appreciates theater and literature (and Jenna) came too.

Tae Kwon Do

Jenna has been talking about starting TKD since late fall. It is pretty expensive, so I was making sure she was certain that is what she wanted to do.
She was a pretty good swimmer, but decided that she wanting to do TKD instead.
She started on 4/29/13 and loved it.
She has practice 2 days a week an hour at a time. She is red-faced, tired, and smiling everyday that she is done.
One of the owners suggested that she is probably ready to advance from a solid white belt to...well whatever is next.
This has been fun. It is a new experience for all of us, as Steve and I have no clue about it.

She loves it and is a little bugged that some of her friends think that is "weird". A lot of her friends dance or do gymnastics, or piano lessons. I love that she is wanting to do it anyway. Way to be true to yourself, Jen!

A new love for Gage

Gage has been an opinionated little boy about his likes. He liked Dino Dan, Mickey Mouse, Tangled, and now.....Toy Story.
I love that he loves Woody and Buzz.
Pretty cool that Woody that he is playing with was Zac's. There is something enchanting about Woody and Buzz.
"I am Buzz- Light year, Space Ranger!" Yes. He says that and it is cute!

"Look mom, I swing with Woody"

Drama

You know how I like theater...so does Jenna and Cambelle. They write, direct, produce, and perform their own plays in the back-deck theater.
Cam's mom makes the dress-up clothes. Pretty cool.

Zoo

We went to the Zoo and it was awesome! The Hogle Zoo had many animals built from Legos, so we were excited to see the displays and the real animals. It was a good day.

Jenna acts like a tween.

Jenna is growing up!  She spends a lot of time with her friends, she cares about her clothes, and yes...she still likes Jeremy.
Feeling cool!
