Bricks 4 kids is a program created by an architect/engineer. It gives the kids an opportunity to use their hands and experiment with building, creating, and using gears. They have classes and camps for kids with a theme. There is a theme, for example "transportation". The kids have a 10 minute lesson on the history of the automobile, or trains, etc. Then they are given Legos and instructions on how to create a car that actually goes. This is right up Zac's alley, and also TR has a knack with fine motor and building skills.
Monday they had a family night for free to preview the program at the Provo library. We got there a bit early and killed some time in the kid's area. The program itself was casual and fun. There were plenty of blocks, even Duplos for Gage. There was also a laptop and program to the make a movie my taking multiple still shots, called stop animation. Jenna loved this and did well.
Anyway, it was a good family night, followed by JCW's...fun times.
