So, I read your blog about your awful day at wal mart. I have been trying to "find myself" as a parent these days (these past 2 years to be exact) and my friend recommended this book "the power of positive parenting" he is lds and also wrote "Christlike parenting" the former is what you should read first though. Seriously, it has changed my life as a parent. I still have terrible days (more often than fabulous ones) but this book enforces that you get rid of bad behavior by reinforceing the positive. I am sooo incredibly relieved to have someone tell me that I don't have to pay attention and address every little thing my kid does or says that is "bad"--and that by doing so I am still a good parent. anywho, the guy is now dead, so I was a little uncomfortable with that fact; since so much research has been done since the time of the book but (1992 or something)........it doesn't matter! It is still awesome.
