Nibs

Tuesday before Thanksgiving we were out in the yard and the neighbor kids were yelling for Jenna. Jenna went over and found that the neighbors had found a big rabbit. They passed it around and loved on him. They went to a few houses to ask who he belonged to...no leads. As the afternoon wore on, the rabbit was in the neighbors garage and the question was...what is the plan for the rabbit?
the plan was that we would keep the rabbit at our house and make some signs to hang up that we found a missing rabbit.
The rabbit was so clean and fat. It occurred to be that the rabbit might be preggers. Later it occurred to me that someone may have dropped him. In the end, we found the owners. He had escaped out of their back yard while his cage was being cleaned out. We didn't find out who the owners were until we had her at our home for over a week. By then we had gotten a cage off of KSL classifieds and the whole works after tears were shed by Jenna who fell in love with him.
It worked out because the owners were thinking of getting rid of him anyway. Everyone is happy, even me because he is litter trained.
The dog is another story. She whines and carries on wanting to get closer to him. In fact the other morning Trevor let the dog in the room and the bunny out of the cage. I am glad that the bunny was not eaten or victim of a heart attack.
Jenna is being very responsible so far. Keeping her room tidy, the bunny fed, and the cage well-kept.

Jenna and Campbelle named him Gumball at first, then Jenna decided on Nibblet, "Nib" for short. Apparently he is indeed a boy, his name has been "Bun", and he is OLD! I just hope he doesn't kill over anytime real soon.

UPDATE:
Yep, he chomped on Gage's "fingu". Within a week is was healed up, but it bled and bled.
