There aren't many fictional things in this world that make me happy like the Twilight Saga. I went with Lissa for the finale. (This time I didn't make a shirt. Kind of lame of me, but I ran out of time.)
Our night out was fun, our seats were great, and the movie was the best!
Liss and I were saying that it is kind of sad that it is over.
We always have the books and DVDs.

First Snow
Last week we had our first snow that stuck. I supposed it is that time of year, but I just prefer it stay mild out. It is this time of year that I dream of moving somewhere where the sun shines a lot and the weather is always mild. In fact the first day of cold, blustery weather, I curled up on the couch and pouted that it would now be harder to get outdoors with the kids. Sure, it is still do-able to go out with the kids, but now they must not only be dressed, but should be bundled. That means locating gloves, hats, coats, and shoes even. Then when we come back inside there are snot-cicles to deal with, wet clothes, and puddles under shoes.
In bed Friday night Steve and I decided that we would take the kids sledding the next day. The next morning we were barely out of bed and the kids were already in layers and mostly ready to get out in the first snow. We obliged, and we went outside too. We didn't go sledding per say, but we did have a lot of fun. When we got back in we had hot chocolate. The kids thought it was the best thing ever!

Dad and Jenna here. All of the kids loved riding and ramping the snow! Trev got the most air and hung on like a champ.

A much needed trip to Blanding
We needed to get away for a weekend. Blanding was the perfect place to go. Beautiful weather, great activities, and generous and fun hosts made it great.
We arrived Friday evening. Steve, Scot, Jenna, Zac and Trev went fishing. They were happy to catch fish, esp given the time of year. That night Julene taught me how to "knit" a scarf and we watched a series based on some books about Botswana's #1 Lady detective. Saturday Steve and Scot fished again. For lunch we went to Devil's Canyon for hobo dinners and a little adventure. Later that afternoon we rode 4-wheelers. For dinner we had carne asada and enjoyed relaxing that night. The kids loved taking over the downstairs and enjoyed exploring outside during our stay. Then before we left Sunday morning the kids played in the leaves.
It was just what we needed. Thank you so much Scot and Julene...and Brandon.

Halloween 2012
Halloween is fun. It is still fun family time for us.
This year the weather was very mild. It was a beautiful night. We trick or treated Lissa's neighborhood and then ours. The kids had a great time.
Gage was Buddy from Dinosaur Train, TR was the Gold Power Ranger, Zac was a Star Wars Guy, and Jenna was a vampire.
After trick or treating, we went for Taco Bell, then got some candy to hand out to trick or treaters while we watched the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The kids loved handing out candy, and admiring their own booty from the night.

Only Zac was brave enough to go with Steve to the decked out, creepy house. |
Halloween day Trev dressed up from preschool.
